Control Your Diabetes
Maintaining a healthy weight is the key to control your diabetes. If you have too much body fat, especially if a lot of it is around your waist area, you are at higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes. There are a few ways to tell if you are maintaining a healthy weight. To figure out your perfect weight:
For Adult Women: 100 pounds of body weight for the first 5 feet of height, 5 pounds for each additional inch. So if you are 5 feet tall you should weigh around 100 pounds. If you are 5’1”-you should weight around 105 pounds, 5’2”= 110 pounds and so on.
For Adult Men: 106 pounds of body weight for the first 5 feet of height, 6 pounds for each additional inch. So if you are 5 feet tall you should weigh around 106 pounds. If you are 5’1”-you should weigh around 112 pounds, 5’2” =118 pounds and so on.
